Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Destin, Florida, lies a hidden gem, Henderson Beach Resort. From August 25th to 27th, I visited this seaside paradise, where every moment was a testament to luxury and relaxation. The resort proved to be a haven of serenity, surpassing even my highest expectations.
Lobby/Tour: An Exquisite Prelude
My adventure began with a tour of the resort's property, where carefully curated decor set the stage for an unforgettable experience. As I entered the lobby, the 
vibrant orange and seafoam-blue pillows seamlessly complemented the plush, grey couches, creating an inviting atmosphere. The walls adorned with artwork breathed life into the space, but it was the view beyond the lobby's expansive windows that truly stole my breath. The sight of a perfect sunset over the glistening waters was nothing short of awe-inspiring.
The Henderson Beach Resort boasts an impressive array of amenities, from workout classes and beach bikes to kayaking and paddleboarding—an adventurer's dream. And, of course the indulgent spa, a sanctuary for rejuvenation.
Room: A Regal Retreat
My room felt like a page out of a fairytale, with a window that framed a stunning view of Destin on one side and the shimmering waters on the other. The bathroom, adorned with stunning marble and tilework, featured a bathtub with a window looking out into the room. The thought of enjoying a favorite TV show during a soothing bath made me instantly relax.
Dinner: A Culinary Extravaganza
One evening, I had the privilege of partaking in Henderson Beach Resort's renowned dining series at Primrose. This culinary adventure is a recurring event at the resort, featuring guest chefs who craft unique and memorable dining experiences. Chef David Ferreira presented a nine-course sushi experience that forever altered my perception of this Japanese dish. Each piece of sushi came with a story, and the flavors complimented each other beautifully. From maguro nigiri to my favorite, yellowtail, and even torched white escolar—each bite was an expression of hospitality.
Breakfast: Morning Bliss
At Primrose, the mornings offered a delightful array of choices, but my personal favorites were the waffles, crispy bacon—and the best biscuits I've ever tasted.
Poolside Lunch at Sea Level: Sunshine and Delights
In the midst of the day, the call of the sun drew me to Sea Level, a charming 
poolside food service bar. Here, I munched on chips and salsa alongside a refreshing coconut drink served in an actual coconut. Sea Level's adventurous menu, filled with snacks, salads, and handheld treats, provided the perfect pairing for a relaxing poolside retreat. I then enjoyed the beautiful private access beach and soaked in the rays with a book.
Spa: A Heavenly Interlude
Arguably, the pinnacle of my experience was the spa at Henderson Beach Resort, an oasis of relaxation and rejuvenation. I indulged in the 50-minute signature Henderson massage, which left me feeling utterly refreshed. Access to the steam room, hot tub, and other spa amenities heightened the experience, and I emerged from the spa serene and ready for more adventures.
The Rooftop + Horizons: An Evening to Remember
As the sun dipped below the horizon, I ascended to The Rooftop, with a vantage point offering unparalleled views of the city and a breathtaking sunset. The resort's unique feature, providing the precise time of sunset and sunrise, ensured I didn't miss this magical moment. Dinner awaited at Horizons, where I relished a delectable salmon dish, all while enjoying the stunning vistas.
My stay at Henderson Beach Resort and Spa was a dream come true, made possible by the dedicated and caring staff who go above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable experience.
