There are many reasons people love to visit Gatlinburg—the incredible scenery, the exciting hiking trails, the family friendly activities, and so much more. One thing that can get overlooked in all the fun? The food! Gatlinburg is full of restaurants and cafes that will blow you away, and we didn’t even mention the sweets yet! When you start planning your trip to Gatlinburg, make sure these fan favorites are on your list.

Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen

Three generations of women have run Ole Smoky since it first opened in 1950. It’s got everything you could ever want, like homemade chocolates, brittle, and fudge, but the star of the show is the taffy. You can watch the taffy get pulled right inside the shop!

Greenbrier Restaurant

Located in a historic building in the Smokies, Greenbrier Restaurant is a modern steakhouse in the mountains. The dry-aged steaks are a must-try, and the handcrafted cocktails are just as delicious.

Sugarlands Distilling Co.

If you’re interested in spirits, this is the place to be! Not only do they offer tours and tastings, you can also book a workshop and learn what it’s like to be a distiller for a day. Plus, if you like what you taste, you can bring a couple jars of their famous moonshine home.

The Peddler Steakhouse

For date night, there’s no better place to go than The Peddler. It’s situated on the banks of the Little Pigeon River, and the food is as good as the view. The food, the atmosphere, and the service make it one of Gatlinburg’s top restaurants.

Cliff Top Grill & Bar

Head to Firefly Village at the top of Anakeesta Mountain for a sunset dinner at Cliff Top Grill & Bar. There’s something on the menu for everyone, but the one menu item everyone will love is the bucket-o-chips!
