Get ready to plan your next summer excursion to Lexington, Kentucky, because the hottest new music festival to hit the summer circuit is coming to you this August. Railbird is making its grand debut at Lexington’s Keeneland Race Course, but you can expect more than just your average music festival from this event. If live music, delicious culinary creations, bourbon tastings, and beautiful horse country tours sound like your cup of tea you won’t want to miss this.

Along with an exciting musical lineup including Hozier and Brandi Carlile, Railbird will also be featuring close-up culinary demonstrations with some of the country’s top chefs including James Beard nominee Ouita Michel and Top Chef runner-up Sara Bradley. These culinary experiences are complementary to all guests with a weekend pass or daily ticket and include small bites and custom crafted drinks. Patrons will also have the opportunity to take advantage of bonus culinary packages like watching morning thoroughbred workouts along the Keeneland track while enjoying brunch in the comfort of the Clubhouse Lawn. Guests can also take a break from the festival scene to participate in highly-curated bourbon tastings with hand-selected barrels from Kentucky’s finest distilleries and immersive whiskey experiences.

For all of the horse lovers out there, you can have the chance to join the Keeneland team for daily one-hour tours of their historical grounds and facilities. There’s also the opportunity to partake in the featured excursions through Kentucky’s breath-taking horse country with their private horse farm tours. Visitors will be brought onto the Winstar Farm, the stable that campaigned the 2018 Triple Crown winner, for a personal tour with the farm’s owner as well as The Jonabell Farm, home to a multitude of Derby-winning stallions, for a firsthand look at the famed thoroughbreds and the facilities where they're bred and trained. Those interested in horse racing can talk to one of Keeneland’s own Betologist that will educate fans on the ins and outs of betting.

Railbird wants festival goers to be able to connect to the beautiful destination of Keeneland through their localized one of a kind experiences, but music is definitely still at the center of this fest with a lineup of more than 30 acts performing over the course of two days. Kentucky is quickly being recognized as a rising festival state with the success of several events in Louisville, but Railbird is the first national scale music festival to hit Lexington. Railbird is a unique music festival that will not only feature talented musicians but will celebrate the rich and historic culture of Lexington. Tickets and further information about the festival and entire musical lineup can be found at Railbird’s website, https://www.railbirdfest.com
