It’s time to “fly high” this holiday season.
We are suckers for experiential gifts, and this aerial experience definitely caught our eye! We’ve all received a gift that haven’t really used. It sits in our closet collecting dust because we don’t have the heart to donate it but we also don’t love it enough to use it.
In addition to checking out our rockin’, hand-selected gift section online, consider gifting the experience of "flight" at Historic Banning Mills this year. Booking an aerial experience at Historic Banning Mills offers a thrilling escape from the norm, where families, couples and friends can make memories that will last a lifetime.
Historic Banning Mills, located in Whitesburg, Ga., just 45 minutes from Atlanta, is Georgia’s premier adventure resort. While at the resort, adventurists can experience four different zipline levels ranging in intensity from relaxed to heart-pounding. The highest level includes the longest continuous eco-canopy zipline tour in the world. “Flight of the Falcon,” located atop the world’s tallest freestanding climbing wall, is the longest line at Banning Mills at 3,400 feet and is also included in Level Four. Younger guests can hop on lines that are just their size at Crazy Squirrel Village. This two-tiered kid’s zone offers obstacles for children aged 4 and up on the lower tier and challenges for kids aged 9 and up on the upper tier.
Miles of Hikes and Views
Guests visiting Historic Banning Mills will not only be able to fly through the treetops on over ten miles of ziplines but can also walk among them and traverse the picturesque conservancy from a completely different vantage point. Everyone loves the park’s “Bridges of Banning,” which includes the longest hiking suspension bridge in North America. The outdoor adventure park has connected over nine hiking suspension bridges woven throughout 12 miles of hiking trails across nearly 250 acres. The appropriately named “Sky Trek” suspension bridge stretches over 640 feet, with others reaching up to 200 feet high.
Stay Where You Play
After a fun-filled day in the treetops, guests can get cozy in treehouse rooms located 70 feet up in the trees that are only accessible by rope bridges. These eclectic rooms, even in the air, spare no luxury and allow guests to warm up next to a fire with a cup of hot cocoa from their Keurig or relax in their in-room Jacuzzi hot tub. There’s no better place to relax and bond after an exciting day and loved ones will talk about their treehouse travels long after they’re over.
The adventure park is a 501c3 organization that preserves the history of the area, its wildlife inhabitants, and natural beauty, while also offering exhilarating experiences. A percentage of each purchase goes to the continued protection of the conservancy, so you can do good while having an awesome time flying through the trees.
With a plenty of activities at Historic Banning Mills to create the ultimate getaway with your family and friends, the sky is the limit!
