There’s nothing like the holidays—spirits are high and hugs are plentiful. The excitement in the air mingles with nostalgia, the perfect combination of memories new and old. One place captures the magic of the holidays unlike any other—this season, come home to Montage Palmetto Bluff.

As the leaves turn crimson and copper, and colorful gourds appear on front porches, Montage Palmetto Bluff begins preparing for Thanksgiving. The week of, the community comes together for a variety of fun, festive events—creating Thanksgiving centerpieces and learning how to make the perfect pumpkin pie—alongside the usual offerings of morning yoga and family fun zones. Thanksgiving Day is a treat, starting off with the Turkey Trot—a Meals on Wheels benefit run—leading into Thanksgiving brunch.

As the calendar flips to December 1st, a season of celebration begins. With the Suite Christmas package, guests staying in the Presidential Suite will find a fully decorated Christmas tree and festive mantle decorations. Santa’s elves will also deliver a gingerbread house and sugar cookie decorating kit—a family activity that’s sure to bring good cheer. The Home For Christmas package brings the same holiday magic into the Montage Signature Residences—with up to five bedrooms, a perfect setting to bring your family together for the holidays.

On the grounds, the magic continues. Cassandra Beato, the Naturalist, takes guests on a tour of the grounds, exploring the local flora and fauna. At the end of the tour, you’ll receive an ornament made with birdseed to place on the outdoor Christmas Tree. The Naturalist also offers the Audubon Christmas Bird Count, an early morning adventure to take in the sights and sounds of the grounds’ winter birds.

Throughout the season, guests can enjoy festivities such as Storytime with Mrs. Claus, Breakfast with Santa, Wreath Workshops, Menorah Lighting, and more. Depending on the dates of your stay, you may be able to enjoy the 12 Days of Porching—featuring holiday treats and festive beverages—or the Festive Frolic—a family friendly event with bounce houses and games. There is always something special happening at Montage Palmetto Bluff.

For New Year’s Eve, guests this season will be delighted to discover two new venues to enjoy during their stay, River House and Hush. River House offers an elevated dining experience with views of May River, napkin service, a champagne cart, and live performances. The menu highlights include steak and seafood, as well as a signature dessert—the S’mores Baked Alaska. Their New Year’s Eve Dinner will feature all of the regular dishes, as well as special menu items to celebrate. Hush, a cocktail-forward speakeasy, pays tribute to the Prohibition era. The unassuming space will be open just three days a week, adding to the mystique. It will be open from 6pm to 1am to help you ring in the New Year with style.
